Personal Coins?
« on: August 28, 2017, 06:26:07 PM »
What if you were to make a 'personal coin'...say based on the Ethereum protocol.  Would it have any value?  Could you use it for anything?  Imagine if everyone had their own coin...Jencoin, Doncoin, Heathercoin etc.   Would certain more popular people's coin be more valuable than others?  What would it be based on if anything?  What about if a celebrity or famous or powerful person had their own coin?  Would it be sought after if there were limited supply?  Interesting to think about...

I think the coin value is all about the demand and reliability. If I provide some services and I've got my own coins that people can pay me for these services, I'll easily sell them if there's demand. And vice versa, if there's no demand for such services, this coin won't be interesting for anybody.

What you described actually exists already. I for one get a bit of money for ads on websites.

If I got it right, it's an interesting thing. So like it'll be not a cryptocurrency but some famous person's currency? The main thing though is that it's valuable and  there's demand for this coin.
