Verge has a new development coming up soon. It's called Wraith Protocol and there's been a promo video making the rounds hyping it. It's supposed to improve the anonymity of Verge and make it 'best in class' of anonymous currencies.
Michael Stollaire, who is a member of the development team had this to say on reddit:
in short, Wraith Protocol accomplishes one thing: Verge will have all of the privacy and security features of our competition, including Monero, PIVX, ZCash, Dash, etc. However, Verge also has IP obfuscation built in with our i2P/Tor integrations. What does that mean? Verge becomes the #1 coin in the privacy space, period.
There's also a posting i've seen that says Wraith will enable Verge to use 'stealth addressing' which will prevent a blockchain explorer to track transactions. You can read the rest of it here:
Of all the major 'top ten' coins, the one i'm most skeptical about gaining in value is Ripple. While I actually like the fact it is working with estabished banks and governments, its valuation of almost $9 billion makes me question how much upward potential it has. There just doesn't seem to be as much excitement around it as with Ethereum or Bitcoin. Why so high a valuation? Is it being used in the real world on a daily basis?
Which are the best cannabis related cryptos? I know of Potcoin and Cannabis Coin. There were a bunch of older marijuana industry coins that seem to have fell by the wayside. What are the advantages of these? Any thoughts of Potcoin vs. Cannabis Coin? They've both been around for a few years and haven't done much except when Dennis Rodman promoted Potcoin recently during his North Korea trip. Long term expectations? Any new ones on the horizon with better technology or potential?
So I was brainstorming the other day about uses for blockchain tech and got to thinking that one of the most useful aspects of it is that it guarantees your place 'in line' and records the order that something is done while guaranteeing that someone can't cheat and 'cut' the line. This might be useful for some kind of idea or brainstorming blockchain where people can tell those 'genius' ideas they otherwise would be afraid to tell because they don't want someone to steal them. This way, if anyone that is part of a group or that has access to info on the blockchain they can't claim they had an idea first.
I'm not exactly sure how this would be monetized or specific use scenarios but perhaps a whole new value proposition could be put in to value those that have great ideas first?

With the Redpulse ICO coming up and more companies promising to build on the NEO platform I'm holding my breath as I'm sure a lot of you are to see if NEO takes off. My gut tells me it'll happen but maybe a bit later than we think. Once we start seeing a steady stream of companies announcing they are building on the NEO platform it should shoot up...but the question is....how long does it take companies to ramp up since the NEO rebranding was really just a couple of weeks ago. I'm thinking sometime in the fall...

I'm thinking of investing in the upcoming Monetha ICO. It seems to bring the 'trust and reputation' aspects of sites like Ebay with their star rating to any site that uses Monetha. Interesting idea to create 'trustlessness' in purchasing. Any other coins doing something like this where they take one company's good idea and us it in a decentralized way globally using blockchain?
